I'm chomping at the bit to get a longer lens, thinking about a Sigma 150-600.

I keep my Sony 100-400mm 4.5 on one camera and a Sigma 16mm 1.4 on another! You have to consider the F-Stop on those longer lenses, the further you reach out the less bokeh (creamy background) you get. I enjoy Steven Drake’s “Huntography” images cuz he gets close enough to use a Sony 70-200mm 2.8 which is beautiful, but you need to be pretty darn close. If you have Great light and there’s nothing close to the animal you’re taking a picture of, then you may still be able to get some nice bokeh!!!

Let me post this next pic with the 100-400 with some good bokeh

Sony a9 with Sony 100-400mm lens
Whitetail was 20/25 yards and there was some pretty good distance between him and the brush behind him so it helped create some great bokeh!

The Père David's deer, also known as the milu or elaphure, is a species of deer that went extinct in the wild, but has been reintroduced in some areas. (Thanks to Texas)

That sheep with the spiral horns, must be blind or something seriously wrong with his eyes. They are bulging and you can’t see his eye balls ? Great photos!
