Ironically we also hunt Henderson / Anderson county.... like the county divide line is about 100 yards from our fence. We are just in Anderson.
The bucks in the picture are on my home place actually...I do have a lease I've been on a few years northeast of Gus close to CR 1100...that place straddles the county line, but my stand and set up is in Anderson County as well
I had some friends come down from South Dakota to hunt some hogs. Here is the best one they killed. Only picture that I have currently. Weigh roughly 250. Had a nice, matched set of cutters on him.
Been hunting this guy for some time. This is one of the last pics I have of him. Have had on camera, for atleast 5 years I can remember. Small property in Smith County. Haven’t heard anybody shooting him yet, hoping he is still around, but doubtful.
Had this guy on camera 2 years ago. I think I saw him in the field last weekend. Fingers crossed.
If it wasn’t him then its another good one.

Hope you keep getting pics of this deer. Very interested to see how he turns out. And good luck hunting him.
Thanks. The bottom deer is the youngest of the two. I have quite a few pictures of him. The older deer does not seem to like the camera as much. The cows have been pulled from this pasture for a few weeks so I upped the throw on the feeder and poured out 50 pounds there around the feeder. Hopefully I will get many more pictures of him. He really was not my target buck this year but he may become it.
Somehow I am just seeing this thread. My place in in Rains Co. at the Wood Co. boarder. We are just now having some does show back up. As always, the hogs and coons are in full swing. I was able to walk up on three juvenile coons last weekend at my feeder that did not like the Taurus Judge I had on my hip.
Good luck hunting there guy's. My father was born west of Canton near Wallace, and his father was born near Myrtle Springs. My parents moved back down there after i graduated high school, and i lived there a bit. Used to be covered up with relatives there, but they have all passed on, and there kids have either moved on, or passed.
When i lived there in the mid 70's, very few deer were seen. Then i would start to see them off fm 47 between i20 and hwy 243 in the big creek bottom there, Caney creek i think. Used to have the run of the country down there but no more relatives. Never killed one in VZ county.
