all jugular. the broad head was burried and broke in his spine. i'm not sure how it didn't drop him in his tracks. tough necks to carry all that bone i guess

Talking about this kill shot with a buddy of mine...he was against it, but I said, at 9 yards that was the shot to take. Then to see that dude bleed out like that left us nearly speechless! Those Fallow looked like juvenile Moose!

yeah definititely not the preferred angle, but it was that or nothing. he had just realized what i was and it was just about to be over. i had a similar situation where i was rattling in white tail and i waited a hair too long and missed my chance

yes that was pretty gorey. took longer than i thought for him to bleed out too. i'm sure some folks won't like that part, but that is a reality of bow hunting. its just rare to witness the whole process and ever more unlikely to catch it all on film.
