    Fall/Winter plot question.

I hunt in SE TX and was wondering what would be the earliest I could plant a plot? Will be planting Clovers, Rye and Chicory.

Thanx guys, I am starting my 1st food plot this year and the reason I asked is we have a Sept 7 deadline to not enter the lease until hunting season.

I'm going to try to plant the first weekend in Sept. if possible because I want to stay away from my farm.. This weekend is the last weekend I go in until plot planting day...

I have planted early Sept. But I cannot stay out till Oct. I have to check/spray for Army worms mid to late Sept. Last year I planted early, got a good rain on it, it came up great and I left it alone...When I checked it the weekend before bow season, the plots were gone...nothing but dirt. The army worms ate it all. I had to replant.
