Some crazy high winds hit the area. I was just south of graham when I went through it and it had to be 60-70 mph. Thought the truck was going to leave the road. Hopefully everyoneís blinds stayed upright

Darn, my place is just North of Breckinridge. Hope everything is still standing. Shot a pig this AM and found a shed
Hope to get a few sits in next weekend.

Congrats to all the kills this weekend! With the hot weather and high winds I made 4 sits and saw a lot less deer coming out in shooting hours. Let a couple doe pass and never laid eyes on a shooter buck, at least the fishing was hot! Hopefully this cooler weather heading our way will lead to some more LDPs on this thread!

The weather got western at our place Saturday around 6pm. Storms just kept back building just SW of our place. Electric poles snapped, blinds destroyed. We found pieces of blinds 1500 yards from where they were supposed to be.
The two reveal camera pics. 6:10 blind in back ground. 6:14 She Gone!

Plus side we did get 2 inches of rain on the wheat and oats. Might be hunting from folding chairs instead of blinds from here out!

Congratulations to your daughter. Also congratulations to mom and you for making it possible for another young hunter to get her first deer. Good luck to her to get many more!

They are moving cattle off the pasture I hunt witch is a great thing. But how will this effect my deer hunting with the helicopter activity? Only took them about 1 1/2 to finish.

Just curious what the difference between a hand cut steak versus a sawed steak is, do they taste the same 😀

Throckmorton is looking good, with all the rain the pastures have stayed green all summer.
We're seeing some good young deer, no shooter yet.

Good info. That time of year. We hung cattle ear tags in all the blinds a couple of weeks ago. I hope they work as advertised.
