I went with a 6.5 Creedmoor and a 26Ē tube. My kids and wife want to shoot with me, and I figured this was easy enough. Hunter weighed it before I left and it came in at 6.8 lbs bare. That surprised me, I figured it would be low 7ís.

Yessir 44mm and theyíre mediums. Not sure if lows would work with the bolt throw and the ocular lens of the scope, guess it depends on which scope you go with. As far as the objective bell goes you could get by with lows. Hope that helps

I mounted a 50mm Leupold on mine in vortex/seekins lows. Bell sits up about a 1/4 “ and bolt throw is just fine on the back end.

Same scope and this is the clearance I get w/ mediums

That being said I never tried lows so they may work.

Is anyone planning on using Hawkins Hybrid rings on this build? Seems like they would work pretty good with this setup.

I'm using the Hawkins ultra light tactical. Very similar, the Tac attach to a Pic rail vs. direct mount with the hybrids. Both great rings for this build.

I'm using low rings with a 44mm VX6-HD.

I run the Hawkins Hybrids on two SA anTis (30mm and 35mm tubes) If you have a specific scope in mind I can give you an idea on clearance.

So 41.7 or 40.8? Were those all the same bullet and different grain with same bullet.

Same bullet at same seating depth, just different charges. Iím going to load some past 42 to find my max. If I donít find anything past 42, Iíll work around the 41.7 and play with seating depth. I still need to shoot at 200 and chrono before I make much of a choice.

You won't have an issue with OBJ lens clearance-- you may need to remove the throw lever on the mag ring.

Yes it was. She keeps talking about wife of the year.

Itís not the TBH build. I got it in just before it started. Itís a Maverick in a 7mm mag. Just put the scope on it today. Probably start breaking it in next week.

The new Leupolds are a great value for the price and lightweight scopes. Not in the swaro top tier, but still great for the money.. the 5HD and 6HD
