From what I've seen, they're pretty much vapor ware right now, but I'm in the market for one.

Saw one for the first time today in a gun magazine today at Midas shop.

Would like to test fire one at the range if they have them.

Bought my wife one at Bud’s, thinking about buying another. It’s a much better gun than the original LCP IMO. Better trigger and real sights. The double capacity mag is a plus also. I shot it ten times the day I got it, gonna see that she shoots it this weekend then I’m pretty sure her LCP with lazer will be for sale.

I posted something about a 10 round mag but I was looking at the 380 max not the 9mm max.

How's the trigger on these? Long pull/press? How long is the reset?

I played with one yesterday at Collectors Firearms, but I didnít actually shoot it. Itís just barely wider than the original LCP, and it still has the long, tinny feeling trigger pull. I will buy one eventually, but Collectorís price was ridiculous, and I want to make sure that Crimson trace has a green laser for it.

Well, go on there and grab you one and pick up a 12 rnd mag also.
This thing is more like shooting my Glock than my old lcp. It has really nice night sights and I canít beg it to jam and I rad some of everything through it.
BTW, 13 rounds in 4Ē space at 30í .

Sounds like a good shooter.

I reduced the trigger travel, reset, and pressure in both my G26 and G17. They're nicer now. But looking at possibly a new pocket pistol with a good or similar trigger. Doesn't seem to be much for choices out there, in that area.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

Haven't held one yet, Is the max 9 something you could get in a pocket holster?

If you have big pockets. The LCP size pistols are true pocket guns, but the Max 9 is pushing it IMO. I looked at one yesterday and the Taurus GX4 also. Theyíre both a little large, but doable, for pocket carry. I wound up buying the Taurus because I liked it better.

Added part of a full Ghost Trigger kit to the 26. And part of a full Zev Tech trigger kit to the 17. Had to play around with each of the kits till I found the right combination for each gun that I liked. I didn't use the whole kit in either. Just partial in each.

Mind, these are Gen 3 Glocks.

For those interested, Galloway Precision looks to have a Short Stroke Trigger, stainless guide rod, and outer recoil spring swap for the Ruger LCP Max.

So I was able to hold one today and yes it's to big for a pocket holster so I'll just stick to the S&W bodyguard for the pocket and 43x IWB

Default RUGER LCP MAX. Whoís bought one.

Add me to the list. Picked up at Academy Pasadena yesterday.

My father wanted a pocket pistol a while back and I forgot about it until I slid down the pistol isle yesterday and after gripping the max my brain went to work.
I picked up the Max for me and sold my father my LCP2.

I havenít shot it yet (will cure that soon) but it carries in my pocket just like itís the 2. I canít feel a difference.

I did buy then return the 12rd mag.
I loaded it up and carried with it but decided that little extra was taking away from the appeal of the pocket carry- for me anyways.

Here it is below a DB-9 for size comparison.
About the same size, but the Max is a smidge smaller.

Donít pick up a max 9 unless youíre prepared to buy one. I made that mistake a couple weeks ago. Itís much more comfortable than the lcp.

Interesting, I didnít even think to look at that one seeing as I have a 365xl that fits the small carry bill- but not necessarily front pocket carry.

I went to look at some scopes this evening. And while I was there, I looked at the LCP, LCP II, and LCP Max sided by side. Seems as if the baby is growing a little visually . But they've done a great job keeping the size to a minimum. I was really impressed with the increase in capacity of the Max while keeping it pretty close to the same size as the LCP II.

Also looked at several others.

I was referring to the Max 9. I got off track and thought this thread was about the 9mm but I see we are talking about the 380.

Yes, the max 9 is too much for a pocket gun in my opinion.

I’ve pocket carried an LCP for over 10 years. I’ve put hundreds of rounds thru them. I just bought an LCP max and have not shot it. I love the night sights on it. I really like the 10 and 12 round mags that came with it. Same size gun twice the capacity! If it’s as reliable as my other 2 lcp’s…it’s freekin awesome! It also fits in my custom leather pocket holster my other lcp’s rode in.

Range report
You are correct. I put 100 rounds of ball and 25 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense thru it without a glitch. I burned a few MAGs thru it trying to induce a failure. I was hitting coke bottles at 20 yards more times than not.
I Really like it.

Just bought the lcp max and wondering how y’all are carrying it. The pocket holster it comes with is useless IMO. Thinking of getting a sticky. Can pocket carry front or back, but I’m thinking I like it best right handed hip. Just looking for opinions

If you carry front pocket strong sideÖGet a vedder pocket locker. Add the curve and thumb draw! Best pocket holster Iíve ever owned. Youíll thank me!
