Iím seeing on Facebook that she passed away a few days ago. Sad deal! She dropped some giant deer in her time.

I hunted next to the Bowman along the Nueces back in the 90s and early 2000's. They killed giants, specifically her. Very sad deal...

Wow that is sad. I met her a few times when I was running a restaurant in Boerne and she was always very nice and eager to talk hunting. She killed some monster bucks! Prayers up for her family and friends.

Carrizo Springs used to have a tournament call " Los Cuernos De Tejas " ... the Bownan's dominated the LF division... and she was up there seemed like every year.

Back in 2000 or so, can't remember the exact year, I won the big 6 category and got to meet her. I believe she won 2nd that year.

I remember when her mom passed away and when my mom use to work for their family. sad to lose someone so young. what did she do for the hunting community?

Does Anyone know the cause of death? 41 is very young for anyone, especially someone who seemed to be a healthy person.

No clue , the obit does mention she is survived by her husband which is why I used Mrs. out of respect. Also it's been my experience that most daughters from prominent families tend to keep their last names at marriage. I saw no mention of Marrs changing her name to her husband's last name. We live in a world that is very public, especially with the internet and social media. Marrs appeared to have a very private life other than published hunting contest photos. Looks like the year before but gosh she was still knocking over bruisers and just as pretty then as she was when she had the invisible buck 15 years ago. RIP
