Walking out the door to start my 2020 DIY mule deer hunt. We are in a part of Montana that has a good amount of scattered public. First time for me going it alone. Hopefully we’ll see some animals. Will be here til Saturday. I brought my buddy along with me for his first hunt ever! Nothing like a first hunt being in Montana!

Guess this won’t be much of a live hunt with service being what it is.

Today was tough. Weather is super warm and deer weren’t moving much. We ended the day with 12 does, one small buck and one shooter buck that was too far. Going to try a new spot in the morning.

The Breaks? Looks like cool country to hunt in. Montana deer is in my 5 yr plan. Might just have to do it next season.
