Why is first shot louder than rest...

Got my 300 BO out this after noon to shoot a few rounds of different brands(subsonic) with a can.

My first shot was noticeably louder than the othrers,,, why is that?>

First round pop due to the oxygen built up in the suppressor burning off.

You can put an ablative material in it that will help if it bugs you. I used wire pulling gel for awhile but don’t care enough to make it worth the trouble.

Guys already posted. If you want to get rid of it can spray some CO2 duster inside can to blow out oxygen and will help get rid of it or just shoot a round.

Also depending on powder you use it’ll be louder to. I use a super fast powder in my bolt action to help reduce gas volume and reduce sound

Either- longer barrel, add a coolant, or better suppressor.
