Default Sick deer...?

Been watching this guy since last year and recently he's taken a turn down hill. Sent pic to local officials but they seem to think he's just rutting.

Any thoughts from the GS experts?

Named him Tom Brady because of his Goat sized NUTTS!

Thanks, TXBC

Could be several things but mainly age. Looks like he has lost quite a bit of muscle mass

Yeah tried to load early season pics but computer flipped out.

Looking forward to seeing him on the hoof and making a better judgement call.

I say sick from something
Hard for me to believe he would drop that much weight in 3 months from anything else

I would guess he's sick. Worn down that much rut this early doesn't make sense to me.

could of had EHD and survived. I have two bucks on my place this year that have/had EHD and both lost a lot of weight. One of them died, the other recovered.

Most likely EHD. It was bad this year. My vet said everyone is having hell with it this year.
He might pull through if he is still eating.
Good luck on him.

He's on the neighbors hit list. I prefer to have a lil more meat on the bone with my steak!
