Youth Weekend 2019...Let's See'em!

My 10 year old got his first this afternoon. This is the first year that he has shown interest in hunting himself. He has been with me plenty, but this year he’s been asking to shoot, check cameras, and fill feeders more than ever. I’m very proud of my boy!

Youth Weekend 2019...Let's See'em!

Way to go everybody! Thanks for starting this thread D’mo. It was sure fun to follow along. Not to mention, It was a highly successful youth weekend and a pleasure to see all of the success in this thread. Some of these youngsters killed some dandy’s!


All I can say for my boy is..... He’s hooked for life! Last pic, this was taken by Mark, the head biologist at Mason Mountain WMA.





This was our group of youngsters. Mine is the little fella in orange, he was ready to go!





They took 7 deer on the first evening, 3 bucks and 4 does. They ended up adding a couple more doe’s to the harvest log this morning.


What a great group of men and their children to spend time with!

Picked up Jet early Fri. and headed to Bastrop, seen a couple of small bucks, and lots of does, he didn't want to shoot a doe, he said save it for Ella ' one of his sisters" ... he got a boar though, i told him to shoot it in the ear, and he did exactly what i told him to.... he was in heaven when we lit the fire!
