American made Schrade, pick whichever buck suits you as even the 420 steel is good with the bos heat treat, I also like moras but they are third on my list

If folding knives are an option. I love my buck 110 light for a hunting bag. Don't overlook Gerber gators too
i prefer a curved blade skinning knife. Wasnt a huge fan of the havalon because of the shape. But swapping blades is nice. But i caught myself trying to do things with it it wont hold up to that my regular old fixed blade skinners can do no problem.
I like this style kit. The round point knife is great for really clean removal of backstrap without worrying about puncturing guts below. I will say I didn't pay anywhere near what this website has the price at. If memory serves I think I paid around $55 many years ago.
