G BIRD, I have two sitting in my shed ready to go with spintech drop down plate and solar panels. I’m taking a year or two off due to twin babies. You’re more than welcome to it if we could get to you on an express. I may be able to even help with that. Let me know

Thieves usually hit our area the week after Labor Day. They know that a lot of people use the long weekend to set everything up. Got my lease twice. Absolutely hate a thief.

I think he just back into town this past weekend. I invited him to go to north zone for dove opener, but he said he was slammed already. He didnít miss anything, either. Probably the worst dove opener Iíve ever experienced in 5-6 years hunting north zone.

No. I was going to deploy cameras in about a week. I needed a new SD card, or I would have deployed them and probably lost them as well.

Sorry for your loss. Who steals feeders anyway??!! Sounds like some local neighbors who don't want you to have any success. Either way, I'd be sure to hide my cameras when you do put them out. Best of luck in finding who the bad guys are.

Put a camera up in a tree aiming down at feeder, they wont look up for one and hopefully you will get the sorry bottom feeders.

LoL. I go cheap in my feeders. I average about $100.00 per feeder, just because the potential is high for them to go missing.

Does your leased ground have locked gates, or can folks drive through because of right-of-way covenants?

Full of corn? Did they dump it out or muscle it away too? Seems like a feeder full of corn would weight too much to move.

GBird

Hate to hear the feeder fate

Must be something in the air as we had a "big" female trying to take a Mule from our place last week on Monday. Got a picture of her, left coffee cup on Mule, dope pipe on steps. Sorry piece of S_ _ _. 4:23 in morning.

Hope we catch her as we are going to post her picture at some of the local restaurants.

We did not even hunt our place. We did go to Albany for an evening hunt and shot 38 for the foursome. Not a good year in the north.

Because ETX doesnít have any good deer and I only pay $500 for my lease. Good luck finding a lease that cheap, unless you have family land. And I knew going in that theft was a problem. I knew the history. It still doesnít make me any less angry. I just donít like thieves.

Iíd do that, but there is about a dozen ways in and out of our place. We have gates where we can, but the timber company often just cut the locks or takes the gates down. Itís a constant uphill battle to try to even show some resemblance of ďsecureĒ.

About 15 years ago I built a nice 55gal feeder with top notch components and set it out @ our lease in Coleman. The dudes that bordered us to the south got themselves kicked off their lease, mid-season and helped their selves to my new feeder. I followed their tracks for 200 yards where they'd drug it to their fence line and loaded it up.

Sorry for the headache.
I had a place in Nocona that we suspected the cattle lessor of dropping the height of the spinner plate and letting 400 lbs of corn fall to the ground. Thank goodness the feeder was still in place when we returned.

What part of Polk County? Also do you have photos of the feeders or any way to identify them? I know it’s a long shot but you gotta try. Meth heads will put them on Craigslist or Let Go site and we’d love to help you make a case.

No recent photos. I could identify them if I saw them. One was an old 55 gal drum with a plastic lid and the legs were galvanized poles. Iím willing to bet that the drum has been repainted. It was a rusty/old faded green. My lease is at the corner of Segno Firelane Road and Sunflower Road.
