Nice video brother! If I ever get up the gumption to get to the coast to surf fish, I'll make a few of these. Been wanting to for a while now. I know my brother will for certain. I got him his first real surf rod last year for Christmas 2017. He used it a few times after finally getting a real for it. And he couldn't believe how far he could chunk it.

I've got a 16 footer. And it's a beast to throw. Got it for striper fishing below the dams around here. But use my 8 footer most of the time. I'll get a couple more of 12-14 footers before I head down south.

Nicely done. What bait do you usually use for those reds?

Love making my own leaders! I made a bunch of simple light wire leaders with circle hooks and 1oz weights for catching pup sharks in the surf with bass tackle.
