This guy showed up out of the blue on trail camera's. I'll be after him this weekend. What do we think? Age, score, weight?

Looks just like one I posted here. He has a little more antler than though. The weight range guesses are pretty vast. Good luck, hope you get him!

Your thread is what made me post this one. I'm going to be looking for him the rest of the season. Yes, evaluations are different for sure. I really hope to get my hands on him and get him weighed and scored. It'll be a fun exercise.

Good luck to you as well...

Oh yeah. On the neighboring property. Chasing does. He lost weight not eating and chasing does. He was out in that pasture for awhile. Then he decided to hide in plain sight. Smart guy. Maybe he'll move about 400 yards west this coming weekend. Or, maybe the neighbors got him. We'll see...

I guess we each have things we like about deer. Some like wide racks, some tall, some non-typical, different strokes for different folks. I like mass and symmetry. This buck flips my deer hunting switch. I hope to have an opportunity at him. The place he's at is very open. Rifle hunting country. (My bow hunting skills are not THAT good.) I've got a Remington 7mm Rem Mag Sendero Special that was made for this guy. We'll see...

With this pic, everyone like your score estimates? Not that it really matters.

Off topic...

What do you have rigged up on your boss buck? Is that a timed dispenser hooked to your protein head?

Yes sir. The Hammer Feeding System. Works great. Makes the feeder heads nothing more than a chin up bar for coons. Although the coons are about to be separated from said chin up bar.

The only issue I see is his width. If you are in an AR county, he could be close.

Got him!! I couldn't get the dang digital scale to work, so i don't know what he weighed. Suffice it to say, he was plenty heavy. Going to put a tape on him in the next day or two. Will post the score later. Can't believe i actually got a buck i'd seen on camera. Nice way to end the year.

My very amateur scoring skills tally him at 127". A lot of very good estimates. I would have bet money he was crowding 140". More proof that's a really good thing i don't gamble. I'm very thankful to have gotten him.
