Default Project Container Camp

This is a project we started 2 years ago, working mainly on Spring Break week, for my place near Sweetwater.

The start was to demolish and bury a house that was really really old when I was a baby, I would have loved to have saved it but it was too far gone.

I knocked it down and buried it.

Even Kat got some time in with covering.

We caught a few pets along with the work.

All was done with careful supervision.

We ended that Spring Break week with a clean slate.

Default Project Container Camp

The next year we had two focuses. One was to pour a slab for our future container camp.

The container camp will cover the dirt areas in the middle of the slab with a concrete beam for mid container support.

The other was to tear out the narrow cattle guard at the entrance and build a wider entrance that big trucks pulling containers would fit through.

Did I mention that the sunsets are noteworthy here?

Can anyone tell me why some of the posts come across with all the pictures and some don't? This one for instants has little white boxes with x's. Is it something in the settings or maybe a fire wall issue? When I right click and select show picture nothing happens.

That is really cool.

The one thing that immediately came to mind to me is that that back room is a death trap if there is a fire at the front. Make sure you have plenty of fire extinguishers.

Those that know Sweetwater will understand when I say that mud was the least of my concerns it getting these into the place and unloaded.

WELL.......
#1 didn't even make it in the gate before burying up. My good neighbor came to lend a pull.

Once in the gate everything went well until both the tractor and truck buried up.....so I called in bigger power!

I started worrying when I saw all 6 of those tractor tires spinning and the 285 hp Johndeer rolling smoke but we got it done!

#1 in place

FYI, the green areas are tarped temporarily for transport. These will come out and the opening will mate with the other container making them both into 1 unit.
