Someone posted a thread earlier asking about if rams were edible, but since I'm on tapatalk right now I have no idea how to link the thread so I thought I'd just bump this thread with pics of the one I made for Labor Day this year.

All of the family and friends are excited for the one I'm making Thursday for thanksgiving also!

We just made some beef sticks and hamburgers from Rams. Both turned out great. It's all,in how you prep the meat. From the kill to the time it's on the plate.

You nailed it, brotha. It's ALL in how you care for it. I've had whitetail that was absolutely inedible because it wasn't well taken care of.

Aside from good practices with your game in the field (not busting open the bladder, cleanly removing the gut bag, not letting blood soak in and coagulate all over your meat, etc.), I'm a die hard believer in aging my kills in a cooler of ice for 5-7 days.
