Default Saved some money!

All,

Wife wanted a new end table and coffee table for the barndo. I did this instead. Happy wife and I saved a little bit of money.

Nice. Guessing from the red marker in the first pic this was a refinish? Amazing what a little elbow grease can do to wood.

Basically stripped and sanded the tops. Then applied two coats of dark walnut stain and some polycrylic.

Bottom is just scuffed up with scotch brite pad. The. Painted with leftover ceiling paint. Distressed it with some 120 grit sandpaper and applied a coat of furniture wax for protection.

That’s an electric lamp that looks like a lantern. Good observation skills though!

Looks great. There is a place in Abilene that does that with old furniture.

It's super reasonable for those less skilled.

I always encourage the wife to go there over Pottery Barn.
