All the "guides" that been fishing sabine the last two years and saying they were in big lake, are actually fishing big lake right now. So I'd assume it's not too good.

On the way there or on the way home? Both bad, but on the way there is especially bad... On the way home, bad, but if you caught fish... tolerable...

Nothing he hasnít seen or helped fix before so he is not phased by it. Happened on the way home from a good weekend on the water so could have Ben much worse.

We got him patched together well enough to get home, once we back it into the shop I can do a better inspection to see if he is going to be able to save the axel.

You taught him right!

My wife thinks I'm crazy because every trip when I hit the driveway home I'm under my boat spraying down all nuts and bolts , axles and hubs with fresh water... then I hit them if they need it with the grease. Changing a hub on the side of the road is no fun!

Took the kids and we drifted most of the day in and around tiki island. Caught a ton of fish on shrimp and finger mullet just not many keepers.

I'm going to watch the cameras Thursday and hit it after work in the afternoon if it looks good. I'm worried it's going to start building again Friday morning based on the forecast. I could use some company though if you want to come along.

Yep! He shared the same information with me about 8 years ago and it has been a game changer.

Glenn Ging is one heck of a guide and an even better person. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to book a fishing trip. He is a true teacher of the game and is absolutely great with women and children because he is so patient.

I wacked em over in EMB saturday evening. It looks like those fish took a beating this week. Job well done.
I think the forecast has changed for the storm in the gulf, it may be closer to us than they first thought.

Teaching moment for those more experienced than I.

I just looked at magic seaweed and the surf for Friday is still showing 1'. However, they have Saturday ramped up to 4-6'. What affect will this have on feeding activity for Friday since I am sure the forecast for Saturday is influenced by this potential storm.
