Checked dove field this morning. Fenced... sprayed.... drilled.... 99.5% fail. Don’t have time to replant it

i made it out last sunday and only had 1 pic of a buck with some decent bases, but the feeder hasnt been working so i am not too worried about it. the plot was coming up good though so they have plenty of food. my best spot is still under water, it was under water pretty much all fall/winter and i didnt see near as many deer as i usually do, or any good bucks, i am hoping it dries out a bit and they move back in.

Original plan was to hunt pigs this evening however they didn't show yesterday so figured I would wait another day. Bastages showed up. Lol... Just a matter of time!

Loggers had forced this little girl to try and cross the road in a blind curve. No more than a day old. Barely walk. I helped it across a ways and within 2 calls momma was at 10 yards. Away they went.

Few pics from ďThe cottonmouthĒ. These were disk in as they are too many iron rocks and roots still for me to want and run my drill across it. Last pic is a set of doe tracks with some little ones in tow.

Found another track that I hate.... tire tracks. Now I got to go and check all the local crackheads on roustabout crews and this fly by night oil company to see which one is where they ainít supposed to be.... or if they want to use another plot site as a new drill site. This bunch is more of a bunch of snakes than the cottonmouths that crawl there

I made a mad run after work just to look at my plot. Haven't been there since I planted about 2 weeks ago. It's coming up decent. Had sent major rain the day after I planted and I'm sure I lost some seed due to run off. More deer tracks than I expected as I'm in a low deer density area. Overall, I'm happy so far. I've also managed to forget cameras the last two times in there, so no pics, and none being taken.

I really couldn't tell you. It was a rackmaster product I got from a feed store going out of business. In fact I think it was more of a fall mix plot, but it was what was available at the time. I'm sure it'll burn up in a month or two.

Found this little fella this morning. Have a 4' horse fence around a pasture and it was high tailing it up and down the fence all day. Momma came around looking about 3pm and they wondered off together.

So apparently my favorite deer stand got knocked down in the storms Saturday night. That thing weighs nearly a ton so it must’ve been some hellacious winds to knock it down. Fortunately I just found out all it needs is a new roof but everything else is fine.

Nah we haul it. A lot of the guys feed corn/soybean mix. I take the apple flavored MG 20 from over here for my feeders there. I think some guys get antler max at the feed store in newton as well though.

My dad said he saw 3 nice bucks by the house today, and 2 were already big. This is welcome news because we don’t typically have bucks hanging around till the rut starts.

Walking around looking for more pigs, came across this little one. Our first sighting of the year. Its amazing how close i got before we even noticed it.

Been watching this guy. Not sure why he is darker than all the others. Doesn't seem melanistic and don't recall any particular buck last season his color.
