Something stunk about this as I know for certain I am not the sole living person with my last name.

What is funny is my wife was a paralegal a few years back. They had a horder that died. Never married only spoke to one second cousin. The cousin didn’t hear from him so he went to check on him and the guy had been dead a week or so. Anyway, my wife had to settle the estate, no will, they had to pay a genealogist $10k to go back and build the family tree. The guy had over $4M socked away and lived in a dump.

16 people split $4M and most of them had never heard of the guy. My wife said she spent weeks convincing people it was legitimate and to sign the letters so they could close the file and send out checks.
