When a girl could still cook and chop wood!
(It actually says “When a girl could still cook and still would” but I saw Hag in concert once and he changed the words still cook and chop wood).
Either way, great song! In fact, the entire Big City album is one of the best!

When a Coke was still cola, and a joint was a bad place to be...
Merle has some great ones. “I think I’ll just stay here and drink” is one of my faves

Before the Beatles and yesterday, when a gal could still cook—and still would.

Keep in mind that song is 40yrs old. The good times weren’t over then, and they ain’t going away now. Change is inevitable...but good times are here forever
