    Sulphur springs rock hunting?

Going to Sulphur Springs for a few days. Any tips on where to do some rock hunting, open to the public. Looking mainly for knapping rock.

Sulphur is good for fossil hunting. I do not know about flint or knapping rock

Yeah try Sulphur River areas but not sure which are public accessible. Call the Chamber of Commerce and ask.

You might also try contacting the Texas A&M campus at Commerce. I bet one of the employees knows. The Sulphur River passes just east of them.

Basically any public road that crosses the river will get you in the river. Hwy 19 south of Paris. The Fossil Park in on Hwy 34 south of Honey Grove right before Ladonia TX at the North Sulphur.
