Little 200 acre family spot in the piney woods. Only place I've ever hunted really. Grandparents bought it in 1970

Thanks everyone. Scored him last night at 124” which is 8-10” over what I thought. His spread was 19” and that helped him. He had decent mass too.

I got in during the storm. As soon as the rain slacked up deer started moving. No shooter but I couldn't get out of the tent blind until noon. Gonna pic David up at school and go sit for his buck this evening. Good luck all.

Good luck to all you Piney Woods hunters!! Sure wish I was gonna be in the woods early in the morning... Gonna be some good LDP's posted up I have the feeling!! Timing is almost perfect... good strong front and moon coming up to full... Does kickin' fawns off, especially little buck fawns... It's gettin' right!!

I got settled in my blind about 30 minutes ago here in Houston County. It's raining like heck...made a run for it and got soaked in the process. Feels pretty good soaked to the bone while it's 47 degrees out.[emoji3] The rain looks to sharply cut off here in the next 20 min. The deer should be on their feet shortly after. Good luck to everyone else in the woods!
