I finally got my hands back on my uncles 8 from this past season. He and I both killed great deer the same morning in late December. His was a true East Texas Giant, and a lifetime deer for him. He had left it with DD Taxidermy, and after Dave’s sudden death, was asked to pick it up. Well past the 60 day drying period, and correct measurements, we finally have a solid number for it. Here’s a pic of the horns, and one of the score sheet. Biggest NE Texas buck I’ve ever laid my hands on, especially for a no fence timber lease.
