    Successful Hunt Tonight

Nothing showed up last night, so I figured they had to be there tonight--and they were. Got in the tripod at 6:45, set up, plugged in the radio, and settled back to wait. Three feeders all spun on schedule, and the pigs arrived at 8:08 or so. Probably 20 of them in the sounder. I got one broadside and stuck it and they scattered. Nocked another arrow and sure 'nuff they came back in about 5-6 minutes, and I stuck another one.

    Here's first evidence--tuft of hair.

Some little wet mud balls and footprints only sign I could find though.

Second pig was under the feeder, and left this:

    And this:

This is the first one I shot--found him just by walking and looking as there was zero blood to be found. He went about 35 yds, out of the mesquite into the pecan bottom. I know it is the first one because I pulled our the fletch end of arrow #2 out of him.

The second one was nowhere to be seen, but I'll be back in the AM to walk the area. That broken shaft is my #4 arrow--

That makes 8 this year so far off of this place.

Congrats, but you may need to pick up the pace if you want to keep them vacuum cleaners under control.

Nice job! The pigs on my property aren't so predicable. I'll get them on camera coming in at 1:30am for a week to eat my corn. Then when I staying in the tree stand from 8 until 2am they don't show up. booo

Will probably take the 12-ga and buckshot for the next trip--cow man is after me to up the take.

                      Here's what they look like--

And, I even have daytime corn vacuums as well--

Sweet bunch of turkeys. I have to get down south one of these years.
