I have never used Tannerite never had a desire to for that matter but I thought it was pretty easy to set off. Just shoot it correct?

Yes but it has to be a certain velocity.

The only tannerite I've ever shot was specifically made for .22LR.

Never seen a binary target for 22lr velocities. I bet it was a chemical bomb in a 2 liter bottle or pvc pipe hairspray.

They make them or used to, seem to have black powder in them. A lot smokier boom, lower pressure explosion when they are set off.

The stuff I had was little ziplock baggies you had to mix. Maybe an Oz each

I don’t know how or what exploded
My only experience with a bomb was when that guy bombed the Houston gun show
Using glass Gatorade bottles filled with dry ice and water then capped off, that exploded in different spots around the show,
