    Archery and cornhole tournament benefitting baby Ady

    A few weeks back I asked for prayers for my baby cousin. She was diagnosed with a rare eye cancer. Her battle began Monday when chemo started.

    Her mom and dad are living in a RV in Memphis getting treatment at St Jude. They have a long battle ahead and bills are already stacking up.

    I am hosting a cornhole and 3D team shoot archery tournament at Cinnamon Creek in Roanoke July 12th and would love to see a bunch of TBHers!

    We are looking for sponsors and donations to raffle off also. Anyone interested PM me and I can give the details.

    This is what is on the Facebook event page as details. Things happened very fast and we are still working things out




    This is going to be a very unique event.

    We will be having a Cornhole Tournament going and at the same time a 3D archery tournament. There will be other things to do that will be announced later. Axe throwing is just one of them. We will have BBQ for sell and BYOB with a $30 Cooler fee.

    The archery tournament will be ran very similar to a National ASA style team shoot. We will have cash prizes along with some other awesome prizes.

    last chance to get a tourney in before TCL State tourney. this will be an AB and a CD format.
    the boards will open at 10:30.
    20 bucks per player. cash prices will be determined by number of teams. cash will be added on top for 1st place in each division.

    registration for C 10:30
    C tourney starts 11:30 sharp

    registration for AB 12:30
    AB tourney starts 12:30 sharp

    We will have ton of raffle prizes and other ways to win some great items. We already have a couple of guns donated and we are just in the beginning stages of the planning. Please share this event and reach out if you have something to donate or if you would like to be a sponsor.

        Is there a way to make a donation if we can’t make it to the benefit?

          St Jude’s is not billing them is it? We donate to them each year largely because they don’t charge families for any treatment. If they do bill families, I may rethink our annual donations.

                  That is my understanding as well Jeff, St. Jude medical care is 100% free to the family.

                  I personally donate to St. Jude annually as well.

                    The family still has to pay to live there along with meals. It is a tough position to be in.

                        You are correct but just the treatments at St judes is covered. They are having to live in an RV in Memphis while they are there and not able to work much. Also already had close to $10,000 out of pocket the during the diagnosis phase. Traveling to a specialist in Philadelphia and local doctors.

                        They live and work in North Texas.

                            Any updates on this? I’m hoping to make it. Hope your cousin/family are hanging with it and doing as well as possible in the situation.
