New project- 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser

I inherited a 1977 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser from my grandpa. It’s going to be sent to the shop this week to start getting it restored.

I was wondering if anyone had one on here and had any experience with one?

Join ih8mud.com. There is more about Land Cruisers on there than you will want to know. Go ahead and join otherwise the ads are horrible. A lot of knowledgeable folks on there.
Just get ready to spend some money, parts are hard to find, but not much to those FJ40’s.
I have a 85 FJ60 and have a big dumb smile on my face whenever I drive it. Enjoy and don’t be tempted to sell it.

My good friend had on in High school. His has a little over drive gear shifter. We could run65-70

Grew up with these in Botswana - my favorite vehicle period. Had a 1984 long wheel base and is probably the only thing I regret selling.

I had a 1992 as a lease ride that ran bad when I got it. Figured out all it’s issues and how to fix it off of that site plus bought parts and accessories. Plenty of people willing to help!
