    Winter Storm Comfort Foods!!!

What yall doing to beat this winter storm?

We made a big ole pot of Crawfish Etouffee. Well, the cheater method. Its not authentic, but it does in a pinch.

    1 can cream of Mushroom
1 can cream of Golden Mushroom
    1 can Cream of Shrimp
    1/2 green bell pepper chopped
    1 whole white onion chopped.
    1 package crawfish tails

Easy to double up for large portion.

Cook down veggies in a little butter, add soups and tails. Simmer for about 10 minutes and add cayenne to taste.

Chili last night, pot roast tonight and gumbo tomorrow. Thinking maybe a duck gravy Monday.

Had some venison tamales last night, pot roast tonight and French onion soup Monday. Cooking it tomorrow, it’s always better a day or two after cooking

                          Does a quality Bourbon count?

Jambalaya, Andouille Sausage Puffs, Pecan Pralines and Hurricanes! Figured it was a good night to celebrate Mardi Gras!

Still have ribeyes, stew, chicken tortilla soup and Fideo con Carne on the menu for the next several cold days.
