How old?

Older than 1.5 is best anyone can possibly guess accurately.

What in the world is post mature? Can we start calling our senior citizens post mature? Post mature is dead. Post mature is like making sure we get that .5 years in on a deer's age.

At our place, aging summer deer consistently without history is like naming the red ants climbing out of the hole next to your feeder. ..

I started out thinking he was 3.5, then after looking at his sagging belly, I went to '5'. But then I looked at his face and I went down to '4', but after reading some of the comments here and looking at his sagging belly again, I settled on 'mature'. But I think he could be 'post mature' too.

How in the he## do I know, I'm way past post mature myself !!

All in good humor. Just one of those terms that makes me wonder. Especially now days seeing some of these giant bucks like in El Gato's threads where his deer are way older and huge.
