I've been fortunate enough to get my 4 target bucks over the past 4 years but this one may be a bit trickier this year so we shall see

Why on earth would y'all kill a giant 4 year old 8?

After about 4 yrs old, they don't eat very well.

I dont have a say after they hit 4.5 unless they are over 170”. They are on the border of the neighboring property so the guys that pay the bills aren’t patient enough to let him go.

I understand that. It's unfortunate, but I understand.

What happens if they hit 170”?

I can make a case for them being our top end deer. They make it til 6.5

That’s the best way I’ve found to keep from hi grading.

Sounds like you need a high fence. How big is the place ?

I have nice genetics on our small 300 acre place and no mature deer
We actually had older bucks in Leon county because they could hide in the dense brush and became wary if they made it to maturity.
