When that movie came out we were living in Austin and our daughter was in middle school.
I remember she had a birthday party themed after the movie and her girlfriends all came over dressed as the different characters.
I agree with some of the comments, it was so stupid you had to laugh!

A cult classic. I've probably watched it a half dozen times all the way through, and countless times as I run across it flipping channels. It's absolutely brilliant. One of those movies that, looking back, you couldn't possibly cast it any better.

I lived in Utah when that came out. I have a copy of the very original that was submitted to the Sundance Film Festival. There are a lot of extra scenes and part of it is in black and white so no one could steal it and submit it as their own. Hilarious movie. If I ever win the lottery I am going to get a Liger.

My ex wife loved it. I just didnt get it. Maybe I should watch it again and see what I missed. It was stupid and pointless. Absolutely one of the worst movies I have ever seen, runner up being the movie about the 18 wheeler that hunted people down that I watched on our betamax in 1988.....

You either have that weird sense of humor or you don’t. I found it really funny but I remember recommending it to a couple of friends who not only didn’t find it funny they thought it was so stupid it made them mad and they thought I was a idiot for liking it
