I like to dump a can of Ranch Style beans with jalapeƱos in mine. I'm a 5th generation Texan and there's always beans in the chili.

Holy hell this topic us so annoying.
Real Texas chili has no beans. Neither the version from the SA Chili Queens nor the version from the trail drive days.
Now, you can put them in there if you want, but that is the Midwest yankee version.
Any chili with beans is DQd at the Terlingua Chili Cookoff.
It's chile con carne. Not chile con carne y frijoles.

I'm still trying to figure out how one can remove beans from chili and it be spaghetti sauce Last I checked there wasn't chili powder in spaghetti sauce.
