had to put a dog down yesterday

I had to put one of our dogs down yesterday. He had roamed our place for 20 years. He's the oldest dog I've ever had. He was a tough old fart. Been run over 2 times. He had funny leg twitch for the last couple of years when he walked. One of his back legs kind of did its own thing. I think he probably had a stroke. He never let it bother him though. He had gotten really weak the last few days. It was his time. RIP Hank

i put my Ol' Hank down 2 years ago, almost 15, scars all over his head from picking fights with bigger dogs, back legs barely worked, but he made sure to get up every time we came home and did his best to run around with the boys. it never gets easy, RIP to Ol' Hank.
