Yep. I ran about half a mile up to a knob and had to crawl 300 yards to get in place without getting busted.

We paid $2700 for four hunters with two guides. No meals or lodging.

Stayed in the one hotel in Magdalena, which must have been a brothel once upon a time.

I don't think the pricing you are getting is out of line by any means.

Thanks everyone. I think I’m going with my old trusty .270, I know where it shoots out to 300. And snake boots it is. Short hunt, plenty of water and whiskey after the kill. Looking forward to it.

On a side note, I’m having trouble getting my license, I have to call them. Hopefully I get it all worked out.

We literally stopped at the fish and game office and bought ours when we got into NM.

Good luck ! Although I killed most of mine in Wyoming with a bow, hunting antelope is lots of fun and you don’t usually have to dress like an Eskimo to do it. That said, I spent a whole day in a pop up once freezing my keester off having to occasionally hold one side of it to keep it from rolling away through the prairie ! You will have a blast ! Take pics and share please, I miss it !

Sounds fun. I am looking toward my first pronghorn hunt, but have only looked at tx drawn hunts, hoping this year is the year. .270win or 6.5 cm

                270 as a 243 is plenty.

They grow em big in New Mexico

Good luck sir! Good glass is a must. Hope you nail a giant!

Doesn’t take much to kill em. I took my 7 mag but I was prepared to launch one way out there if needed. 4 of us killed on our first evening. All 4 qualified for B&C. Heck of an evening

                    That's a stud!

Where did y'all hunt? We last went near Magdalena.

Few more days, can’t wait. Settled in on the .308 and 300 win mag for back up.

Staying in Tucumcari, weather doesn’t seem to be in our favor, will be cooler though. Hunting unit 41, private land.
