    Daily Bible Portion (Saturday)

    Daily Bible Portion - 7 of 7
    "AND I IMPLORED"

    (Weekly Reading>>Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11, Isaiah 40:1-26, Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 12:1-44, 1 Timothy 2:4-6")

    Peter Speaks to the Men of Israel
    (Acts 3:22-26)

    Right after the great infilling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost Peter spoke to the men of Israel, saying,

    “For Moses said, Yahweh your God/Elohim will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen [to do] to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people. Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel on, as many as have spoken, have foretold these days. And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed. When Yahweh raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning [repent] each of you from your wicked [lawless] ways.”(Deuteronomy 18:15-19)

    It would seem there are choices before us. We are not called to be lukewarm or ignorant to His Word but to be a people who have the faith to obey and walk out His Word. There is an inheritance to be claimed and the Land is waiting for its time of peace. May our generation be the generation of Children who enter the Land to possess it in full obedience to Yahweh. If we are the people and witness of Yahweh then these words of Moses will bless us. If not, these words will reveal our true heart position and keep us outside the Land. To walk in the Covenant we made with Yahweh is everything – eternal life. There are choices of which law will we obey: the law of life or the law of sin and death? May we choose to love Yahweh with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

    Deuteronomy 32:46-47 “Set your hearts on all the words which I [Moses] testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe -- ALL the words [principles] of this Torah/law. For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess” (Deuteronomy 4:6-40).

    Deuteronomy 6:25 “And IF [condition] we are careful to obey all this law [with heart and soul, in Spirit and Truth] before the Yahweh our Elohim, as He has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.”

    Deuteronomy 8:11-14 "Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest--when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
