Every Spring or close to it we try to get a group together to do a true work weekend. No plan to hunt at all. So the agenda was to install the wood stove and chimney pipe, relocate the living room TV and get the remaining 2 Boss Game System blinds set out. For once we got it all done and then some.
My buddy Brandt helped cut a hole in our perfectly good roof[emoji51]. He was a professional at this in a previous life. I’m sure glad he offered his services.
I’m going to add a 2’ section of insulated pipe the next trip to get within code. I didn’t buy a roof support, so we played it safe and left it off.
It wasn’t really wood stove weather, but we had to test it since we did such a fine job. Note the windows were left open. The smoke drew up the chimney well. Should draw even better with 2 more foot of pipe.
Next project was replacing the pop up blinds with the box blinds we bought at Christmas. I was concerned on getting them in the same spots as the pop ups, but we made them fit.
Next project was to relocated the TV.
We also hauled off some furniture that we no longer needed, topped off all the feeders and ate/drank well. I was too tired to document it though. Thanks for following along.
