Question for you guys that stay overnight on the islands. Where do you leave your truck and trailer? I've always wanted to hunt and camp out at Matagorda Island WMA but I've been hesitant about leaving my truck. Which ramp would be the most secure?

Froggies. I've left 4 wheelers in my truck, left my truck unlocked accidentally, left coolers in the back. Never had any problems, been doing it since about 2004 or so. Look out for the gators right now around that camp site, in July/August there's usually the one-eyed one there as well as a big mofo. They float back and forth between the army hole cut and the pool on the other side by the old visitor's center.

So sold my Boatright 1966 a couple months ago and picked up a 2172 last Friday. It's rigged up nicely except for a really crummy job on the engine cables. I had some rigging hose leftover from an old project so decided to bandaid it. I didn't want to unrig it and run all the cables through right now but it looks a lot better even with the zipties after splitting it down the middle.
