Was following along. How’s it gone so far?

Been seeing a decent a number of elk but they are up high. Hiked several different mountains to see what looked best. Had a 4x4 or 4x5 at 35 yards yesterday. Bad look at vitals shot, so I waited 10 seconds. He turned around and walked back the way he came. Never saw him again. (Buck fever still happens- as my heart tried to bust out of my chest, lol).
Got rained on 2 hours later and soaked my boots. Had to make a trip to Gunnison for new ones. (Old backup pair blew out after 2 miles on first trail)
Still better that a great day in the office....
