Ok question for your r100 attendees , thinking about shooting 1st time this yr & plan on bringing wife. What kinda yardage should I prepare her for be in hunter class
It is set up as a family course so it's not supposed to be a tough one. I think last year they said be ready for anything from 10-45 yards with just a few over that. As far as women's stake goes they are usually either right with the men's on the close one or no more than 7 yards up as far as I can remember.
It's a fun shoot, not a competition shoot, so there aren't any real "rules" per-say that restricts rangefinders.
If you want to use a rangefinder, that's fine.
They don't give awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places so there's no need to restrict the shooter anyways.
If I remember correctly the only prizes given where for the individual challenges and door prizes.
