Best Sawzall Blade For Quartering A Deer/Hog

For those of you that use a Sawzall to quarter game, what type (wood, metal, bimetal) of blade do you use, and what blade length works best? Feel free to include a brand as well. Thanks in advance!

Cheap wood dewalt is what I use for legs if no loppers around.

If you're splitting down the hip look up how to hit the socket with your knife. Game changer when I learned.

Following this one. I’ve been wondering about this as well.

I use what ever new blade I have laying around . Most of the time it’s a Diablo demo blade. Don’t split them very often. Only do it when I want to make tomahawk steaks.

Cutting at joints is a lot easier than a saw.

A demolition blade is master of both meat & bone

I have a standing ribeye roast in the fridge. May just have to grab the sawzall and cut it into steaks.

For cut-n across the backbone with back-straps attached in camp or home, to make your own "bone in" chops as thick as you want. Also, large rib cages can be split length wise for multiple slabs of ribs. You can also cut large round stakes out off the hind quarters. Lots of uses for a saw. A meat saw will make short work of 500-1000 lbs of hog carcass during processing. Or multiple deer.

I've done my share of it. Even done it with a standard hand hack-saw at times.

Saw can double for trimming up tree branches for shoot-n lanes too.

Good grief he didn’t ask y’all if he needed a saw or not.

OP any new wood blade works just fine on the bone.
