I’m not sure I like them screwing with it at all. Yet to be seen. I for sure hate the limit on throwing back to the base. Huge advantage to base runners once the pitcher exhausts his throws.
Bigger bases is an awful idea. The pitch clock takes away alot of gamesmanship. The batter cant step out and think about pitch sequence or anything, its all just dumb
I’m general, early returns have been positive. We’ll see how it plays out in real games. Don’t forget about the schedule differences. Fewer games amongst division clubs and more against everybody else. This could be a big swing factor for some clubs / divisions.
Love the rules. Offense needs some boost, and the last couple years of minor league play have seen a bump in offense, as well as shorter game times with these rules. I'm all in.
I'm a fan. I think some tweaking will need to be done, but at the end of the day I think the product is better. No shifts + more running should lead to more offense = more entertaining games.
I will note that I'm adhd and the clock keeps me more focused on the game.
