My first glance thought 14" but then I stopped and did some math. If his ears are 15" and his antler is 1" thick and there is .5-1" of ear hanging out past the antler that brings him down to 13-13.5" before even getting to the other side which appears similar. Do some mature bucks have ears wider than 15"?

Most of our mature bucks have close to a 15" ear span with the ears in the alert position. The buck in your pic does not have his ears in the fully alert position, so his ear span is a little wider in that pic.

Based on that, I think he's at least 14" and maybe closer to 15+".
