The last pic in the add is a good way to go to the E.R. ! I like an old wet stone over all the new ways.

Lol at the variable speed 2x72 knife grinder. #metoo

I have a diamond stone and a hard and a soft Arkansas stone for touch up work. I do 95% of my sharpenings on the belt grinder though.

This. I've posted about this sharpener on here before. It does a great job and puts your blade at the right angle, something a lot of folks seem to have difficulty with.

I might have to check this out. Had an idler roll on my worksharp break recently and haven’t looked yet to see if replacement part available and how much?

My choice is the Lansky system. Simple to me and keeps a consistent angle without eating up the metal ...

I must have a dozen sharpening systems and none of them work for me. Finally gave up. There's a knife sharpening trailer that is at tractor supply in Dripping Springs about once a month. $4/knife and they will shave a hamster.

Arkansas stones (not Arky), best you will get. Follow it up with a leather strop loaded with pumice.
