Pipe fence paint - what kind??

Need to paint my pipe fence and was wondering what kind of paint is best to use. I'm thinking rustoleum or some black fence paint that Tractor Supply sells. Thoughts??

We used a oil based at work and it lasted a few years but we didnt clean the pipe before hand

If it’s drill pipe I brush grind and use ospho first or noting will stick. All the box store stuff junk. I use a dtm alk 110 with hardener from ppg. Best bang for the buck unless you want to drop some serious coin. In that case use ppg’s epoxy and delfleet line.

If anyone has better ideas please share. I’m always looking for ideas to make the paint last longer.

Thanks guys. I’m re-painting a fence that is about 2 yrs old. Looks like the guys that built it used water colors to paint it when it was built.

Used on my pipe fence over 20 years ago, it is fading somewhat and beginning to rust in some areas.
I would use this or Hammerite.
