Default Please keep an eye out for a dog theft.

My college roomate and now Dallas fire-fighter is a breeder of Bordeaux puppies. This past weekend, someone stole his 10 week old pup and he got it on camera. I figured this needed to be seen by as many people as possible. I will try to post his video but here is his facebook post.

Hope they catch these thieves.

his facebook page with more info. I believe he is offering a reward:

This video is on one of the DFW, maybe more, tv news broadcasts. Question of time before POS is hauled in.

I bet they get them. The video is really clear and with some knowledgeable folks I bet they can get the license plate number.

Does anyone know why someone would steal a dog? Seems risky on many levels. They are all chipped these days and all you have to do is flag the registry and he will be discovered at some point.

There’s one for sale I saw in the abilene tx Craigslist. Go to the for sale heading and type in Bordeaux. It’s listed out of Brownwood.

This particular breed is a large bully dog. While not known for aggressiveness, the sheer size is appealing. You can't see microchips and the vast majority of dogs are not chipped.

I saw this on FB yesterday. I thought they said the thieves were from the Amarillo area and they are searching there, too.

These dogs are not cheap by any means to buy and I would bet all the mature dogs are chipped, not sure about a 10 week old puppy.

So I'm guessing he called the cops and gave them the video? should be able to run the color and make and come up with a list.

Years ago my niece was using my dad's Buick to steal dyson vacuum cleaners out of walmart and the cops had a list of the cars just like my dad's but never contacted him till the last car because he was 78 years old. anyway she got busted.

This is definitely getting shared on social media, saw two different people share it that I promise have no relation to the OP.

Any updates?

I don't have any specifics, but the dog was taken back to the owner by two people.

quote: " Chipper is safe and sound back home!!! Thanks to everyone!!!
The money will be split between two men, one brought him to me, the other is key on the prosecution side."

He didn't say more yet, I bet there's pending arrest or pending investigation. but the dog is back to it's owner. great news.

What a sorry POS. There is a special place in hell for people like this IMO. What is even more frustrating is that these people steal so much that they are able to ride around in what appears to be a Cadillac.
