    Corpus Area Meat Processor

    Good Morning Y'all,

My son got it done this past weekend (new thread coming soon) and now we have a doe in the cooler that needs to get to the processor. We are here in Corpus but have never used anyone in this area, Rust Meat Market in New Braunfels is our go to, for dried sausage. Do any of yall have any recommendations on who to take this doe to?

        Yes.
I took 2 deer there last year and had nothing but dried sausage made.
Try and get there for lunch, good food.

^ Based on his avatar and name, I'd take his suggestion.

                A & H is very good.

Tuttles is very good also, but too much smoke for my tastes.

                Not a fan of A & A

A&H made me debone the deer, if shot in Archery season. This was my go to processor since it’s close to the house but after deboning the deer I just went ahead and processed it myself. That was 5 years ago. I’ve been processing deer myself ever since. And I can tell you it makes a difference. Unless I’m doing dry or smoked sausage,in that case Tuttles in Woodsboro. They also make a really good bacon wrapped jalepeno and cheese burger.

                      Another vote for tuttles

2 thumbs down for A&H. Overpriced. Drama queen. Poor hours.

Tuttles is great in Woodsboro. There is a new guy in Portland , but he does all his work in Devine. Thats where his big store is located. My buddy dropped a deer with him and had to pay a transport fee like 125.oo for them to take the deer up there to process it. , then bring it back to him. his smoked sausage was not cured correctly, and he threw a lot of it away. He uses tuttles now exclusively.

El Campo in Kingsville is good, too. Their snack sticks are great.

Same here. I used to use A&H till they moved and A&A moved in. Tried them and ever since I've used A&A and they are great. Still use A&H sometimes, but only when A&A is not taking orders cause too full. A&H has changed a lot since they moved and not in a good way imo.
