Get a bee smoker. Really cheap on Amazon. Just use grass or hay in it.

From my experience, I think you need to use naturally occurring materials from your hunting area. Smoke works for sure but, I’ve used smoke from one place and it works in that area, but when used in a different area with different vegetation, the same smoke doesn’t work and got me busted regularly.

I have a bee smoker and get mesquite smoking chips from home depot. Not many places in Texas that doesn't have mesquite. If east Texas use pine or what ever is local.
